Our next step appointment partners
Mindroom, Kindred and TailorEd all offer Next Step Appointments at the Edinburgh Disability and Neurodiversity Hub. When booking an appointment you’ll be able to see which organisation you’ll be meeting with.
We aim to ensure you receive consistent and high quality advice from all providers. Practitioners all have access to the same information however each organisation has their own specific areas of specialist knowledge. We’ve summarised this below should you wish to select your appointment based on this.

Mindroom specialise in advocacy and support for neurodivergent children & young people and their parents and carers. Children and young people do not require a diagnosis for families to access their services. They have extensive knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions, rights and responsibilities and navigating systems and processes. Many of their team have lived experience of neurodivergence.

Kindred also provide information and advocacy but have more specialism around complex health needs. They’re a parent led organisation and their services are specifically for parents and carers.
Both of these organisations have extensive experience supporting parents/carers navigate the education system.

TailorEd specialise in supporting families who have an autistic child/young person, working directly with children as well as their parents/carers to support wellbeing and build daily life skills. Through this they have experience of working with a range of other neurodivergence which they incorporate into their support. They are experienced in navigating the systems of support for families in Edinburgh.
