What to expect
6:30 PM – 6:45PM | Registration and welcome |
6:45PM – 8:15PM | Motivation workshop and safety briefing |
8:15PM – 8:45PM | Firewalk begins accompanied by live entertainment. |
8:45PM – 9:30PM | Post event drinks and nibbles |
Spectators should aim to arrive between 8:00PM – 8:15PM
What to Expect:
Upon registration, participants will receive a Yard t-shirt before taking part in a 90-minute motivational workshop and safety briefing to prepare for the Firewalk. Then, it’s time to step outside and brave the fire!
Who Can Participate?
Individuals, teams of friends or colleagues, businesses – everyone is welcome to join in the Firewalk. Participants must be over 16 years old.
What do I need to do to take part?
Purchase your ticket and pay a £10 registration fee. We do ask for a minimum sponsorship of £60.

Burning questions
There is no special clothing required. Casual comfortable clothes are best.
Please remember fires can be quite dirty and clothes may become ash stained. We also suggest bringing a waterproof jacket, as October weather can be unpredictable.
No, you will walk on a bed of embers. By the time you finish the training workshop, the fire will have reduced to glowing embers.
Friends and family are unable to participate in the workshop (this includes children), however they are very welcome to watch and cheer you on.
Spectators should arrive 15 minutes before the Firewalk begins.
Yes, participants must be at least 16 years old to take part in the Firewalk.
I have a medical condition; will I be able to Firewalk?
If you’re concerned about your ability to participate, please check with your GP before signing up for the Firewalk. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
The Firewalk is not a weather dependent event. If it is raining, we will still go ahead unless the rain is so heavy that it will extinguish the fire or there are very high winds.
All participants will be notified in the event of cancellation due to weather.
There is no preparation to undertake. all training will be provided on the night.
You should abstain from the consumption of alcohol or drugs prior to the event. Any person who is in the opinion of the trainer unfit to participate will NOT be permitted to take part.
The Yard has extremely limited parking. We recommend car sharing if possible or using public transport.
