Building a place to grow
We believe it’s essential that families shouldn’t have to face barriers in accessing vital support services. That’s why we’re committed to expanding our services in Dundee, creating a fully accessible, inclusive facility that will provide respite, afterschool services, and holiday support for children with additional support needs, right here in our local community.
A place to belong
I’m Ashley, a mum of four, and for a long time, finding the right support for my son felt impossible. Without a diagnosis, I didn’t think we would be welcomed anywhere. I worried about judgement, about not fitting in, about struggling alone. Then we found The Yard. From our very first visit, everything changed. My son was free to play in a way that made sense to him, his siblings felt included, and I finally found a community that understood.

Our vision
We’re in the midst of a £1.5m renovation project that will allow us to offer even more support to disabled children and their families across Dundee, Tayside, and beyond.
