Our school sessions offer a stimulating environment where students can explore, learn, and connect.

Edinburgh

We deliver term-time play sessions, welcoming students from special schools, speech and language units, support bases, and mainstream schools.

Our experienced play team create a fun environment where students can explore, learn, and connect. We tailor activities to the requirements of your group, whether it’s fostering social interaction, providing much-needed exercise and fresh air, or integrating with your current curriculum themes.  

Sessions are allocated before each term begins.  

Dundee 

The Yard Dundee is a PEF Framework provider, welcoming schools from Perth and Kinross, Angus, and Dundee. Our specialist playworkers support free play, which promotes risk and adventure. Activities include messy play, loose-parts play, and arts and crafts. We can host sessions at The Yard Dundee or visit your school.

Targeted School Support Service

Targeted Pupil Support at The Yard Dundee provides flexible afternoon sessions for pupils who benefit from additional support to engage with learning and social experiences.

Designed for pupils on part-time timetables, those experiencing difficulties with attendance, or pupils who are home educated, sessions offer a calm, inclusive environment focused on building confidence, engagement and connection.

Pupils can attend with a member of school staff or with a parent or carer, depending on what works best for the individual pupil.

Glasgow

During term time, we deliver our play service to schools across Glasgow and beyond, providing a safe, inclusive space for pupils to play and explore. Activities vary each week and may include messy, water, sand, or sensory play, all tailored to the children’s needs.

Our skilled playworkers help children build confidence and enjoy new experiences in a supportive environment.

We currently hold a contract with Glasgow City Council schools, so capacity for additional schools is limited. Bookings are allocated on a term-by-term basis.

School sessions are flexible, with mornings and afternoons available Monday through Thursday. Targeted school support sessions are available Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
